YWLCS Curriculum
YWLCS has a unique and innovative curriculum designed to assess outcomes at every grade level. Our curriculum includes Math, Science, Humanities, English, and Leadership in every year. Our approach uses inquiry-based teaching with an integrated Arts, Technology, and World Languages curriculum. Our assessment system is standards based, and student achievement is evaluated using the College Readiness and Common Core Standards.
YWLCS believes in a "whole girl" approach to education, an approach that balances our focus on math, science and technology with the development that stems from a well-rounded liberal arts education (i.e. Humanities, Fine Arts, World Languages). At the Academy level, faculty works together to achieve our belief in educating the "whole girl" by implementing consistent cross-curricular educational goals and fostering a challenging yet supportive learning environment.
