Thanks to our YWLCS friends, we raised more than $400,000 at our Girl Power Benefit Luncheon on April 16, 2010 at the Fairmont Chicago! The Benefit was a huge success and we are very grateful to our Honorees, Keynote Speaker, the Benefit Committee members, attendees and contributors.

YWLCS believes that expenditures on public education for our nation’s young people are investments in our future.
This year, YWLCS will spend $12,500 per student to provide her with a life-altering education. This amount includes all of the administrative costs, as well as the direct instructional costs. Though this amount compares favorably to average amounts spent in successful urban public schools, it is $3,100 less than we receive in public funding.
