Host Committee Information

We are pleased to invite individuals to join the Host Committee and partner with some of Chicago’s most influential women in celebrating the Young Women’s Leadership Charter School’s (YWLCS) success in teaching today’s Chicago girls how to become tomorrow’s global leaders.

We invite individuals to join us on the Host Committee of The Girl Power Benefit Luncheon by buying or organizing a table at the $1,500, $3,000, $5,000, $10,000, or $25,000 level.  As a Host Committee member, we ask individuals to make a $1,500 minimum commitment and to proudly include your name on the invitation. Your tremendous support on the Host Committee will help us continue to strengthen the future of Chicago’s young women.

Click here for more information about joining the Host Committee. If you have questions, please contact Cassandra Di Prizio, Development & Marketing Manager, by email or by phone at (312) 949-4359.

Girl Power Donor Packages

Please browse the individual donor packages below to see how your support can provide our young women with a life-altering education.

Host Member ($1,500)

OUR CHALLENGE: YWLCS needs private funding to provide many of the important resources that distinguish us from a regular public school.

YOUR HELP: Your donation makes these essential resources accessible to YWLCS and our students.

Mentor ($3,000)

OUR CHALLENGE: Approximately 80% of our students come from low-income households and qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

YOUR HELP: Your support will help provide them with two-thirds of their daily nutritional needs with hot breakfast and lunch.

Counselor ($5,000)

OUR CHALLENGE: To teach our young women students to become future leaders, we need to give them real-life, hands-on experiences that guide them.

YOUR HELP: Your donation allows us to provide mandatory internships, summer enrichments, special projects like the River Project, and partnerships with Northwestern University.

Adviser ($10,000)

OUR CHALLENGE: Two-thirds of YWLCS students arrive below grade level in reading and math.

YOUR HELP: Your donation helps us to provide a college preparatory education in a small classroom setting. Last May, YWLCS graduated 100% of its senior class from high school and 90% of those were accepted to attend a 2-year or 4-year college.

Leader ($25,000)

OUR CHALLENGE: It takes $12,400 for each YWLCS student to receive a life-altering education.

YOUR HELP: Like all charter schools, YWLCS receives public funding, but there is still a $3,700 gap per girl that must be raised from private contributions. Your donation of $25,000 will help fill this gap.
