Each YWLCS student is encouraged to pursue the broadest array of options and opportunities for continuing education and career development after graduation.
Students are exposed to real world opportunities for learning and service. In Junior Academy (grades 9–10), students participate in internships in a variety of Chicago businesses and organizations. This experience helps to broaden their knowledge of the world and the opportunities awaiting them.
In Senior Academy (grades 11-12) the YWLCS provides college and career counseling to meet every student's needs. Trips to colleges and universities as well as extensive support to navigate the college and job application process is provided.
Our college acceptance rate for the Class of 2006 was 100%! Review where YWLCS Class of 2006—the third graduating class of YWLCS —are attending college.
