EASE: Equity & Achievement in a Standards-based Environment

Assessment traditionally plays a positive role only for the top scoring students. EASE, our software, gives all students a clear picture of where they need to focus their efforts. Improving their level of proficiency acts as an ongoing motivation. EASE helps us support students in raising their expectations of themselves. This is the essential ingredient for increasing student achievement."

— Margaret Small, Director, YWLCS

EASE software's unique approach to assessment and student evaluation is designed to:

  • focus everyone's attention on student learning and not on student grades;
  • enable administrators to coordinate resources to target students’ demonstrated academic needs;
  • enhance communication between educators, students, and families;
  • encourage using data as a factor in decision-making and aid teachers in planning instruction.

EASE is available to faculty, students, and families on any internet-enabled computer. It imports student and faculty information, classes and schedules from standard student information systems software.

Visit the EASE website at www.ease-equity.com.

EASE was developed by the Young Women's Leadership Charter School of Chicago and Database Designs Associates, Inc. with support from the Boeing Corporation.
